I never hear any contemporary criticism that discusses Krim, and I never hear him mentioned whenever there's discussion of Beat lit. But he was the greatest feverish writer of beat criticism. I need to find out more about him (Help! E-mail me!), but I know there were a few books of his collected essays and criticism because a long time ago I checked them out from the library.

As for Making It!, it's my ironic credo, more appropriate today than the day it was written. And what a master of language! Krim invented a new thought in practically every sentence, tore cliches inside and out, and did it all at this intense frantic pace that screamed across the page in an insane rage that out paced any other beat author in terms of originality of thought, exactness of expression, and sheer breathtaking speed.
