Everybody's favorite beat classic, Burroughs defies all description, though junkie fag lunatic will do just fine. This book jumps from thought to random thought, with all these ingenious little warped alternate realities presented as ironic conspiracy theories and hallucinatory politics. There are long sections of exquisitely-detailed erotica that almost always end in death and mutilation, which sounds horrible but just comes off as surreal and like deadpan news from a planet that never existed.
