The OP-P Club

My own little new wave club. My dad had a little abandoned slum storefront on Olive between Walton and Taylor, just up the street from the "Stroll" where the prostitutes solicited their trade. I cleaned up the place and moved upstairs and opened a supposed "Art Gallery" and started booking bands to come in and play.

Mort Hill was one of my partners in this venture, and he gave it its name, though I gave it the spelling and designed a logo for it, which he continued to use even after we split up a few months later.

I always described my club as four walls and a band, it was so bare-bones and penniless.
